Dubai Fitness Challenge 30×30

Where: Fitness Villages at Kite Beach, Expo 2020 Dubai and Mushrif Park

What is it: Dubai Fitness Challenge is a month full of activities beginning October 29. Launched in 2017, the challenge encourages residents and visitors to commit to daily 30 minutes of activity for 30 days. There will be three Fitness Villages at Kite Beach, Expo 2020 Dubai, and Mushrif Park besides 14 Fitness Hubs in business and residential communities across the city. The Fitness Village at Kite Beach will see beach workouts with 15 dedicated sports and fitness zones offering activities including HIIT training, yoga, spinning and water sports. The main stage will feature live sessions from the region’s top fitness instructors. At the Fitness Village at Expo 2020 Dubai, there will be a Global Fitness Stage, football pitch, cricket nets, a gym and a multi-sports area. The third Fitness Village at Mushrif Park will have six zones with special workout spaces for women, as well as aqua Zumba and aerobics, and a dedicated children’s zone with obstacle courses. Over 1.5 million people participated in the 2020 edition.


Hero Dubai Hatta

Where: Hatta, a mountainous town 110km east of Dubai

Tickets: Dh260 (60km) and Dh130 (30km) for adults; Dh110 for children

What is it: The second edition of the Hero World Series Dubai will take place at the Hatta MTB Trail Centre as part of the only UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) mountain bike race in the Arabian Peninsula. The spectacular mountain bike race will welcome participants from more than 40 countries. Cyclists will get to choose between a single 60km or two loops of a 30km race on the Hatta course. They can enjoy rugged desert views from every angle. A Hero Dubai Kids race will take place on the same day, on a dedicated route inside the Hatta Mountain Bike Trail Centre. It is open to children between the ages of 4 and 14.


Halloween Party @Theatre of Digital Art

Where: Theatre of Digital Art, Souk Madinat Jumeirah
Category: Spooky entertainment
When: October 28-30
Timings: 9pm onwards (Children’s activities begin from noon)
Tickets: Dh150 for adults; Dh50 and Dh100 for children and adults at the children’s activities

What is it: Theatre of Digital Art is hosting two Halloween-themed activities. Adults are encouraged to dress up for a special Halloween party on October 28. Little ones can have fun by hunting for spooky Halloween eggs on Friday and Saturday (October 29 and 30).


Haunted Chambers for Halloween

Where: The Lost Chambers Aquarium, Atlantis, The Palm
Category: Spooky entertainment
When: October 29
Timings: 10.30am to 9pm
Tickets: Dh85 per adult (one child under 12 in a costume enters free with a paying adult)

What is it: The Lost Chambers Aquarium will be transformed into an eerie ‘Haunted Chambers’ for Halloween. Residents will come face-to-face with spooky decorations, games and sea creatures – all this with the usual ethereal underwater setting and photo opportunities around every corner. The hotel promises it will be a haunting – and educational – experience for the little monsters.


Sleep Expo Middle East

Where: Dubai World Trade Centre, Sheikh Zayed Road

When: October 26-28
Timings: 10am onwards
Tickets: Entry Free

Dubai World Congress for Self-Driving Transport

What is it: The global Congress will shed light on the future of modern transportation. There will be lectures highlighting the impact of technology on investments and transportation, along with a cutting-edge exhibition to explore the product landscape of self-driving vehicles. Leading experts will speak on the enhancement and adoption of self-driving technology. Attendees will include stakeholders from across the self-driving car development value chain.


Jubin Nautiyal Live

Where: Coca-Cola Arena, City Walk

What is it: Prepare for an evening of music and an electrifying performance as the award-winning singer belts out his hits live. Fans will be able to sing along to all of the Indian pop star’s biggest hits. Nautiyal rose to fame after appearing on the talent show X Factor India. He has been captivating audiences across the globe ever since.


Murder at the Speakeasy: The Musical

Where: Paramount Hotel, Business Bay/Downtown Dubai
Category: Live entertainment

Timings: 8pm onwards

What is it: Join the gorgeous flappers and their powerhouse vocals in a night of music, seduction, food, and crime-solving. Put on your investigation hat as you step into a movie, an alternative reality of drama, comedy and music behind the hidden speakeasy door in Paramount’s lobby, Flashback, to help settle a century-old homicide. Throughout the evening, the audience gets clues from the cast and music. Grab your fellow mystery buffs, put on your feathers, and find the clues whilst enjoying a night of music and drama.


Float Dubai

Where: QE2
Category: Nightclub

Tickets: Free entry. Table reservations require a minimum take-or-pay alcohol buy of $1,100

What is it: This is the world’s largest floating nightclub that opened on the historic QE2 cruise ship. The glamorous nightclub had its grand opening was headlined by American rapper DaBaby. Float Dubai’s main floor includes a mix of high tables capable of hosting up to four guests as well as bigger booths that offer an excellent view of both the stage as well as the iconic skyline of Dubai as its backdrop.
